The Bookasaurus Bistro was open again today for some hoe cakes. George Washington's Breakfast by Jean Fritz was read to all the students. After listening to the story, students ate hoe cakes served with honey and maple syrup, and they were delicious! The Bookasaurus Bistro was open again today for students, but this time with all different flavors of popcorn! Students had to taste the popcorn and guess the flavors. Some were easy and others were more difficult! Fruity, savory and sweet popcorn were all there to enjoy. Third through eighth grade students are continuing to celebrate #NationalReadingMonth by reading "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" together through an online video that reads the story to them. Once the book is completed, students will watch the movie together and discuss it.
