Since 1947, St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School has been dedicated to academic excellence and the traditions of the Catholic faith.
Our students have the opportunity to grow in knowledge, faith, and leadership through engagement with each other and within the wider community. Our alumni can attest that the skills and experiences gained during their time at St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School prepare them for continued academic rigors and inspire them to continue to serve the communities in which they live.
At Saint Elizabeth Area Catholic School, our focus is first and foremost on Christ, the Son of the Living God. This proclamation by Saint Peter (Matthew 16:16) is the foundation of our Catholic faith. Because we believe that Jesus is Who He says He is, everything we do, say and think comes from that belief. This school year, our theme is from the gospel passage Matthew 5:16: "Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father." Students and staff will focus on how we can let the light of Christ shine on all around us. On the first day of school, the students created a display in our front lobby showing how each of them was a light in the world. The beautiful sun with the "rays of light" from each student is a tangible reminder to all who enter that we each have a duty and honor to "be the light" in a world that can seem very dark at times. The Saint Elizabeth community truly is a bright light in our tri-city area: each person is created, known and loved by God. The light from that love shines brightly for all to see. We look forward to seeing how the individual lights of our school staff and students combine with those of our faithful parishioners to become a beacon on a hill for all to see and know that Christ truly is the Son of a loving and wonderful Father. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our light with those in our community. God bless!
